Kingdom of Christ is a Christ-centered church and ministry. We gather to worship, to sit under Scripture, to pray, and to be discipled — and then we go out to serve. Kingdom of Christ es una iglesia y un ministerio centrados en Cristo. Nos reunimos para adorar, para sentarnos bajo la Palabra, para orar y para ser discipulados; y luego salimos a servir.
That second half matters. A church that only meets inside a building has only done half of what Jesus asked. So the same congregation that worships on Sunday is the congregation that cooks meals, sorts clothing, sits with someone in recovery, and knocks on doors in the neighborhood. Esa segunda parte importa. Una iglesia que solo se reúne dentro de un edificio ha hecho apenas la mitad de lo que Jesús pidió. Pastor James Peoples has served the people of Juárez for more than twenty-five years. Two decades ago he felt a conviction from the Lord to pull up his roots entirely and move to Mexico. He made that move in faith, and the ministry has run on faith ever since. El Pastor James Peoples ha servido al pueblo de Juárez por más de veinticinco años. Hace dos décadas sintió la convicción del Señor de arrancar por completo sus raíces y mudarse a México. Dio ese paso por fe, y desde entonces el ministerio ha caminado por fe.
In that time, Jesus Christ has reached more than three thousand people through this ministry — through outreach, shelter, food, clothing and recovery. What Kingdom of Christ tries to be is simple: a church that actually does the fundamentals Christ taught — feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, welcoming the stranger, and carrying one another’s burdens. En ese tiempo, Jesucristo ha alcanzado a más de tres mil personas por medio de este ministerio: a través del alcance comunitario, el albergue, el alimento, la ropa y la recuperación. Lo que Kingdom of Christ busca ser es sencillo: una iglesia que de verdad practique lo fundamental que Cristo enseñó — dar de comer al hambriento, vestir al pobre, recibir al forastero y sobrellevar las cargas los unos de los otros.
